Amit Malviya who is an In-charge of BJP’s National Information & Technology Dept, Co-in charge of West Bengal, and a Member National Executive. Shared an image of a meeting of the congress party from his official Twitter.
In the image, all the members of the congress along with Rahul Gandhi Sonia Gandhi, and Mallikarjun kharge can be seen. It can also be seen in the image that Sonia Gandhi is leading the meeting as she is sitting on a chair specially made for the heads.
Sharing the image Amit Malviya claimed that Mallikarjun kharge, unless the current president of congress is having no reserved seat in the congress meeting itself and tweeted, “Mr Kharge is neither the head of the table (reserved for Rahul Gandhi) nor does he have a special chair like Sonia Gandhi.

Till the writing of this Fact Check, the post already had 952 retweets and more than 250k views.

To investigate the Claim DFRAC team scrolled through the official Twitter handle of Congress and found the same image posted under the caption that reads, “A meeting of the Congress Parliamentary Party was held today under the chairmanship of CPP Chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi. Congress president and Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha @kharge attended the meeting and along with @RahulGandhi Members of the Parliamentary were present too.”
Further, we checked the comment section of Amit Malviya’s post where users too mentioned it as a CPP(Congress Parliamentary Party) meeting, whose head is Sonia Gandhi and not Kharge.
Conclusion:
With the tweet of the congress itself it is clear that the meeting was of CPP, and Sonia Gandhi is the chairperson of CCP, hence justifying herself sitting on the chair reserved for the head.
So the claim by Amit Malviya is Misleading.
