Fact Check- Tarek Fateh posted a Fake Photo criticizing Muslims while offering Namaz

A picture is getting viral on social media sites. It can be seen in the picture that Muslims are doing Namaz with cycles behind them.

By sharing this picture Tarek Fatah a well-known Pakistani- Canadian Journalist and author captioned: “ Halal bicycle stand or is it the fear of theft while momins pray.”

Fact Check:

To know the reality of the viral claim the team of DFRAC did a google image search and found the image source. The team found the report of 123rf.com which was uploaded on August 8, 2010. The headline- “ MARRAKESH, MOROCCO – AUGUST 8: Muslim men pray on a street on August 8, 2010, in Marrakesh, Morocco. Islam is the largest religion in Morocco.”

According to different news media houses, there are no bicycles behind Muslims doing Namaz.

Conclusion:

It is clear from the Fact Check of DFRAC that the viral picture of Muslim Praying Namaz and there are cycles behind them is edited and clicked in the year 2010. Therefore the claim made by social media users is Fake.
