Fact Check: What is the reality of the viral video of a running dinosaur?

A video is going viral on social media sites, in which it is being claimed that the animals seen in it are dinosaurs.

On the evening of 05 May 2022, a user named Zombie Panchi captioned “Dinosaurs born again!!!” Has shared a video, in which animals that seem like dinosaurs can be seen.

Similarly, a user named Joon writes, “Dinosaurs running” While Twitter user, Buitengebieden captioned “This took me a few seconds..” (This took a few seconds” with a laughing emoji. For) posted the same video.

Fact Check:

After searching the internet, we found that the claim being made in the video is misleading, as the animals seen in the video are not dinosaurs but ‘koti’ which live in South and Central America as well as Mexico and South America. – Found in the western United States (USA). Their weight is possible as a big cat, but in stature they are seen between a dog and a monkey.

Wion News website has covered it and denied that the video is being falsely claimed.

Also, a Twitter user named Dapir Don Dharshi Kamil added the BBC video to the same video with the caption “So, if you put a video with coati, or coatimundi, in reverse, you are in Jurassic Park. Who made this.”
