An image of the New York Times writing, Aam Aadmi Party set a world record for gathering the highest number of people in a political rally is going viral on social media.
Suresh Kochatti a verified account on Facebook, posted the New York Times’ viral picture and rephrased its sentence of 25 crore people attended the rally by the party might have spent 25 crores on the rally.
Another user who posted a viral picture claimed that Gujarat’s population is only 6.2 crore.

The picture went so viral that NY Times Communications itself nullified the news in its tweet on 3rd April. They shared the wall of their news portal and asks to check it as they have not covered any such news regarding the AAP’s rally in Gujarat.

Rana Ayyub, a writer for Washington Post and a verified account on Twitter posted the same viral picture and claimed that a photoshopped image of The New York Times is being circulated by the right-wing of India.
