A video is vividly taking rounds on internet where a person, when asked about Aftaab Poonawala’s crime said that murdering someone in anger is no big deal and at that time even person can cut the body in 36 pieces also.
Again when the interviewer asked him about his name and address he replied that his name is Rashid Khan and he is from Bulendshahr.
People on social media started circulating the video with anger and agitation a verified user Priti Gandhi who is a BJP karyakarta writes, “Meet Rashid Khan from Bulandshahr. He strongly believes that it is absolutely normal for Aftab to have chopped Shraddha into 35 pieces. Where are we headed?”
Another user writes, “Rashid Khan from Bulandshahr on Aftab chopping Shraddha: “He was in a bad mood so what’s 35 or 36 pieces? They must have had a fight. If I get into a fight with someone I can also easily chop them into 35 pieces.” Their book has leached out every bit of humanity from their hearts.”
Fact Check:
After the video got viral the Bulendshar police arrested the person and found the name of the accused was Vikas Kumar and not Rashid Khan. Also he was previously too accused for 5 cases .
The police from there official Twitter account tweeted, “Through social media, a video made in Delhi came to our notice in which a person claiming himself to be a resident of Bulandshahr had made objectionable remarks. The accused who came to light has been arrested by the Secunderabad police station.
Police too got his Aadhar card where his name was “Vikas Kumar”
Conclusion:
The viral video is misinterpreted as communal, as the person who was giving the controversial statement was a Hindu pretending to be a Muslim. Hence, the claim of social media users is fake.
