A viral video is being circulated all across the social media platforms stating that ADC Ghulam
Mohd., during an interview, confesses that Sonam Wangchuk was arrested on the orders given
by Amit Shah (Home Affairs Minister)

User named Anuska Tiwari shared this video on her twitter handle with the caption; “This is a
very serious matter coming from the Commissioner the BJP has caused more damage than
India’s enemies. Leh ADC Ghulam Muhammad admits that it was Amit Shah who ordered the
arrest of Sonam Wangchuk. He appealed to the public to attack BJP offices instead of going
after Police.”

Another twitter handle also posted regarding the same matter “Ladakh’s ADC admitted that the
arrest orders against Sonam Wangchuk were given by Amit Shah, he also asked him to
humiliate Sonam Wangchuk by calling him a Pakistani agent.” (Translated into English)

Fact Check:

After investigating the video, DFRAC team found out that the video was digitally altered. In the
actual video, ADC Ghulam Mohd. never admitted that Amit Shah has given him orders to arrest
Sonam Wangchuk. Original, unedited video was posted on the Official Twitter handle of
Department of Information & Public Relations, Leh, Ladakh on 25th of September, 2025.

Upon further research, videos of the entire press conference (unedited) have been found on
various news channels on YouTube. In the entire video, he was not found mentioning any such
claim that Amit Shah has given him orders regarding the arrest of Sonam Wangchuk.

Conclusion:

DFRAC, after thorough research, claims that this viral video of Leh ADC Ghulam Mohd. is fake
and digitally altered.
