There is a video that is going viral on Facebook. You can see the collapse of the infrastructure of a metro station in the video. The video is shared by a user named ‘Naushad Diwana’. The caption says, (Translated to English) “Thousands of people died because of the Metro bridge that collapsed in Delhi”. On 31 July 2025, the video was posted.

Fact Check

DFRAC investigated the viral video and the claim and we confirm that it is FAKE. No similar results popped when the keyframes of the video were searched using Google images. 

We did search for any such incident being covered by any reportable media house but found nothing. Even on the official site of DMRC and their social media handles, no such statement is published. 

When we paid attention to specific key frames of the viral video, we noticed something unusual . All the key frames presented various distortions in the body movements of the woman in the video. It clearly indicates that the video is digitally produced.

Conclusion

The viral claim is not supported by any official DMRC statement or report from a reliable media outlet. Additionally, the woman’s odd body language suggests that the video was produced digitally. Hence, we can say that the claim and the video are FAKE.
