Fact Check: Sword-wielding video of a woman is a Marathi Actress and not Rekha Gupta

Amid this background, a video is going viral on social media where a woman is seen showcasing her impressive sword wielding skills.
The users on social media are claiming this to be an old video of Rekha Gupta.
Fact Check
To check the veracity of the video, DFRAC did a reverse image search of a keyframe from the video.
This led to us to the original video which is posted on Marathi Actress, Payal Jadhav’s social media profile. She had posted this video on 19 February 2025 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
The viral video was posted on social media, on 20 February 2025, the day when Rekha Gupta took oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi. Ever since, it has been viral on social media as misleadingly claiming Payal Jadhav’s video as of Rekha Gupta’s.
Conclusion
The fact check by DFRAC shows that the claim on the viral video is false. The woman depicted in the video is a Marathi Actress, Payal Jadhav, and not the recently elected Delhi CM Rekha Gupta.
