The DFRAC team investigated this news and found it to be fake. In our investigation, no such reports have come to light supporting the above news. Contrary to this news, we came across a tweet on the X handle of BRICS News which is better known for sharing the latest updates about BRICS.
The tweet dated Feb 15, 2025 stated that fake reports were circulating claiming that BRICS planned to end strategic cooperation with India following Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the US. BRICS is not ending its strategic cooperation with India. These reports are completely false.

Furthermore, we examined the viral screenshot and found that it has been digitally edited as the irrelevant date stamps have been added post-dating to 23 Feb,2025. The image in the viral screenshot was found in CGTN’s Oct 25 , 2024, when Kazan Summit of BRICS was inaugurated.
