In the probe, the DFRAC team found that a terrorist had been gunned down during an encounter with security forces in the Dachhigam forest area of Srinagar
We searched some keywords on Google regarding the above claim and found a tweet on the X handle of Northern Command Indian Army dated Dec 3, 2024. The tweet extended compliments to military personnel for neutralizing one terrorist in the Dachhigam forest area of Srinagar as the Indian Army stood at its commitment to making J&K a terror-free state.
Furthermore, we found that several media outlets such as Business Standard, TOI, and Deccan Herald have reported this news stating similar facts. The security forces killed one terrorist after an encounter broke out in Jammu and Kashmir’s Dachigam forest. According to Jammu and Kashmir Police, a joint operation was launched with Indian army based on specific inputs in the upper mountain belts of the Harwan area of Srinagar
