Fact Check: Swara-Fahad's wedding photo edited and shared as Shweta Tiwari's wedding photo goes viral
A collage of several images has been shared on social media platforms such as Facebook claiming it to be actress Shweta Tiwari’s wedding. Users sharing this collage are claiming that TV actress Shweta Tiwari has secretly married her boyfriend Vishal Aditya Singh
Sharing these photos, a user wrote, “Shweta Tiwari is marrying her long-term boyfriend Vishal Aditya Singh secretly | Kapoor family. #ShwetaTiwari”
Fact-Check
The DFRAC team investigated the viral images and found that the viral images on Facebook do not belong to Shweta Tiwari’s wedding. These images are of Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar’s and Fahad Ahmed’s wedding. Numerous media outlets including Times of India and Dainik Jagran have published news with these images of Swara-Fahad’s wedding.
Our team searched some keywords on Google for information about Shweta Tiwari and Vishal Aditya Singh’s marriage. We did not find any news about their marriage by any credible media organization. Vishal Singh’s reaction to the viral pictures has been published in NBT’s report. Vishal said on the viral pictures, ‘Yes, I also saw the pictures and honestly, I can only laugh.’
Conclusion
It is clear from DFRAC’s fact-check that the wedding images of Swara Bhaskar and Fahad Ahmed have been digitally edited and falsely claimed to be the wedding of Shweta Tiwari and Vishal Aditya Singh. Therefore, the claim of the users is misleading.
