The recent terrorist attack on IAF convoy in J & K’s poonch has resulted in the loss of one soldier and injury to five others. In its aftermath, a claim is doing rounds on social media site X(twitter) stating that an IAF personnel namely Ranjeet Singh has shot his commanding officer for not providing armored vehicles to convoy that was attacked two days ago in Poonch.
An account with the username @NavCom24, withheld in India, have been found sharing false information earlier took to X(Twitter) and wrote: “#BREAKING Just in, an Indian Air Force airman Ranjeet Singh shot his commanding officer for not providing armoured vehicles to the convoy that was attacked two days ago in Poonch, IOJK. Rajeet’s close friend was on that convoy and he was killed during the firefight”
Moreover, several handles shared this claim with similar facts.

The DFRAC team conducted a keyword search on Google concerning the viral claim and found that no such media reports have been published by any media outlet citing the above claim. On the contrary, some latest developments have been discovered in the wake of the recent terror attack on the IAF convoy in Poonch.

As per media reports by Livemint and The Economic Times Indian Army launched a search operation to trace out terrorists in response to Convoy attack.
Whereas, reports from The Hindu and India TV stated that security forces released sketches of two terrorists believed to be behind the attack
Conclusion
It is evident from DFRAC’s fact-check the viral claim of IAF personnel shooting down his commanding officer is completely fake as no such media article has been found reporting the above claim.
