Former BJP MLA T. Raja Singh is the ‘king’ of hateful and provocative statements

T Raja Singh is the MLA from Goshamahal constituency in Hyderabad and always seems to be in media headlines because of his controversial statements. He is the sole BJP MLA in Hyderabad, but after his controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammad, the last prophet of Islam, the BJP has turned its back on him.

He has given many provocative and hateful statements in the recent past, after which police have registered cases against him in several states including Maharashtra. In this DFRAC Exclusive report we are exposing many of his hateful and provocative statements in the recent past.

1. “Now there is a need to become a Hindu who cuts throats, not a mere bell ringer”

On January 29, 2023 T. Raja Singh attended a program of Hindu Aakrosh Morcha organized in Mumbai. In the program Raja Singh agitated the crowd stating,  there is a need to become a Hindu who cuts throats, not a mere bell ringer. Apart from this, he had given many other provocative statements in this program. Furthermore he added that the names and numbers of Hindu girls are taken from apps like Zomato, Rapido Taxi, Ola, Uber to perform love jihad.

1. “Hindu-Muslim can never be brothers”

A rally was organized in Latur, Maharashtra on 19 February 2023 on the occasion of Shiv Jayanti. While addressing the rally, T. Raja Singh emphasized on making India a ‘Hindu Nation’. After this, he added that, “there was only one Afzal Khan at the time of Shivaji, but today there are illegitimate children of Afzal Khan in every street, every intersection, every assembly, if you have to teach everyone a lesson then get ready.”

Loudspeaker will not be found in Hindu Rashtra.

A Hindu Janajagaran rally was organized on 10 March 2023 at Shrirampur in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. Raja Singh was the prime speaker of this rally. In this rally too he made many provocative statements regarding Love Jihad, Land Jihad and boycott of Muslims.He warned the public that whoever spoke against Hindus would not be spared. Raja Singh also pointed out the Azaan and said that in the Hindu nation, there would not be a single loudspeaker and he did not just stop here, he even used derogatory words for Muslims and said that if anyone wants to thrash them,they should join Bajrang Dal

Controversial comment on Masjid-Mazars

In a rally organized in Sambha jinagar on March 19, Raja Singh openly targeted the Muslims. He said that mazar is being built by spreading a green sheet and likewise, other government lands are also being encroached upon. After this he said that Shivaji had built 370 forts,from which  25 percent of the forts are ruled by these ‘traitors’. Somewhere a mosque has been built, and elsewhere a tomb has been built. He said that the government should clear all of the latter. He also commented on Love Jihad,that Love Jihad should be stopped or else if 100 crore Hindus start doing Jihad, you (Muslims) will not get girls to marry.

Controversial comment on Prophet Mohammad

T. Raja Singh made controversial remarks in August 2022 on Mohammad, the last prophet of Islam. His remarks had sparked massive protests by people from the Muslim community after which BJP expelled T. Raja Singh from the party.

Controversial remarks on Muslims on Ram Navami

• Raja Singh made many controversial comments in the Shobha Yatra organized in Hyderabad on Ram Navami. He said that the devotees of Ram escalated the matter, causing the Ram temple to be built in Ayodhya. In the coming time there will be another push and a temple will be built in Mathura, kashi etc as well. During this, he also used abusive words.

Political journey of T. Raja:
T Raja was born on 15 April 1977 in a Lodh family in Dhulpet, Hyderabad. According to media reports, Dhulpet has once been the center of illegal liquor and drug smuggling. T. Raja Singh started his political career in the year 2009 as a corporator from TDP.
He joined BJP in 2013. He first became MLA from Goshamahal in 2014. After this, he also won the 2018 elections from Goshamahal. According to Dainik Bhaskar's report, T. Raja Singh used to sell video cassettes earlier, then he became a pro Hindutva. Till now, he has more than 75 cases registered against him.

1.     Mini Pakistan:
MLA Raja Singh keeps making provocative comments. He reportedly said that the old city area in Hyderabad has turned into a mini Pakistan. Apart from this, he has made some other objectionable comments.

In July 2017, Raja Singh courted controversy by appealing to the Hindu community in West Bengal to respond similar to the reaction of Hindus in Gujarat in 2002.

3.     Hindus should bear arms
In December 2017, at the Viraat Hindu Samavesh Sammelan in Yadgiri, Raja Singh exclaimed that, “whatever comes between us and the Hindu nation, we will destroy it, and we will not spare it. Brothers, get ready and learn to use the sword. Why. Do we have to learn? We have to learn to protect our religion and Hindu nation. For this every Hindu should have weapons in his house. If you don't have weapons, you can't save yourself and your family.”

4.     shoot illegal rohingyas
In July 2018, Raja Singh stirred controversy with his outspoken anti-Muslim views. He had said that if these Rohingyas and Bangladeshi illegal immigrants do not leave India honorably, they should be shot dead in order to make this country safe.
