Fact Check:
To investigate these images, we reverse-searched the images and found a tweet by Eliot Higgins (@Eliot Higgins), best known as the founder of the open-source investigative journalism website Bellingcat.
The captions read, “Making pictures of Trump getting arrested while waiting for Trump’s arrest.”
He created AI images with the help of Midjourney (a platform that makes AI-generated images with prompt) after the images got viral he was allegedly banned from Midjourney platform. An article was also published by the BuzzFeed.News on the same.
Further, the team also found the report of WION with the headline that reads, “AI predicts what Donald Trump arrest will look like. Take a look at the viral images.”
The report states that the images of Trump’s arrest have been generated through AI (Artificial Intelligence) i.e. a satirical take on what Trump’s arrest would look like when arrested.
Conclusion:
The images of Donald Trump’s arrest are not real but AI generated hence the news of arrest of the former US president Donald Trump is fake.
