Neta ji - DFRAC

Very inspiring for the youth, who gave new energy to the freedom struggle from the British government, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the founder of Azad Hind Fauj, was born on January 23, 1897, in Cuttack, Odisha. On 23rd January, it is Netaji’s birth anniversary, which is celebrated as Prakram Diwas. On this occasion, social media users are remembering him by addressing ‘The First Prime Minister of Independent India’.

The national president of The Bhagwa Kranti Sena and a member of the Rashtriya Sevika Samiti, Sadhvi Prachi tweeted, “Hundreds of salutations on the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of independent India, Subhash Chandra Bose” (English Translation)

Fact Check:

To know the reality of the viral claim, we did a simple search on Google. During this time we found reports published by many media houses.

According to the information given on the Wikipedia page, after independence from the British Empire in 1947, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was elected as the first Prime Minister of independent India.

In the article published by Jagran Josh, it has been told that Pt. Nehru was the first and longest-serving Prime Minister of independent India.

It has been revealed in many media reports that the Azad Hind Government was established in Singapore. But at that time, India did not get independence officially. India officially got independence on August 15, 1947, and at that time the Prime Minister of India was Jawaharlal Nehru.

Conclusion:

It is clear from this fact check of DFRAC that it is wrong for other social media users, including Sadhvi Prachi, to address Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose as the first Prime Minister of independent India, because pandit Jawaharlal Nehru as the first Prime Minister of independent India.
