Arun Yadav, the former In-Charge of the Bhartiya Janata Party’s (BJP) IT cell in Haryana, is active on twitter with more than 650k follower. He was removed from his post on 7th July 2022, after Twitter users inundated the website, calling for his arrest over an offensive tweet on the Prophet yet he calls himself Proud BJP worker according to his official twitter account.
And still he is using his twitter account as a tool to spread disharmony and unrest in the society by targeting a particular religion.

Misleading Content
He spreads this type of content to distract people from real issues of the country, to gain as many followers and popularity to always be on the lime light & to make India a Hindu-Rashtra. Let’s have a look on such content on his official page:
Misleading News 1:
He tweeted on famous actor Shahrukh khan claiming that he was stopped by Customs at Mumbai airport.
He writes, “Updated: Shah Rukh Khan was stopped by Customs at Mumbai airport. The expensive watches and their covers were worth Rs 18 lakh. Shah Rukh had to pay customs duty of Rs 6.83 lakh for these watches.”
Fact Check
To analyze the originality of the viral claim, the team searched some simple keywords on Google. The team found a report on ANI which states that not Shahrukh khan but his bodyguard was stopped by customs.
Misleading News 2:
He tweeted to criticized Gehlot’s government and writes, “Gehlot has done what the Mughals could not do, banning religious events before Navratri in the temple of Hinglaj Mata in Rajasthan.” (English Translation)
Fact Check
DFRAC team searched with some keywords and found a tweet from Rajasthan Police. In this tweet, it has been said that the worship or entry of the common man or Khatri society has not been banned in the Hinglaj temple. It has been clarified here that there is a dispute between the two groups, after which they have been arrested. (English Translation)
Misleading News 3:
He shared the clip of Shahrukh Khan offering her prayers to Lata Ji and claimed that he was spiting in front of her dead body. He writes, “Did he Spit?”
Fact Check
Looking at the video it is quite clear that Shahrukh was offering prayers for late Lata Ji. And, after that, he just blew air on her mortal remains as a sign of love and respect.

He mocked the Cm of Punjab Bhagwant Mann.
Fact Check
Applying reverse image search on the different keyframes of the video we found a 1:06:42 minute long video on the Youtube Channel of Aam Admi Party. The video was uploaded on September 7, 2022, with the title “LIVE | TOWNHALL of Shri Arvind Kejriwal and Shri Bhagwant Mann Ji with the youth of Haryana.”

At 18:19 minutes of the above video, Bhagwant Mann can be heard saying, “we say what we do, and what we cannot do, we say that too, that this cannot be done by us.”
Misleading News 5:
He mocked congress by tweeting, “Big order of Bengaluru court, ban on Congress and ‘Bharat Jodo’ Twitter handles. Congress proved to be a thief after all.”
Fact Check
We searched on main stream media channels and found the report on the same on The Indian Express that states, “The Karnataka High Court Tuesday set aside an order of a civil court that had directed Twitter to temporarily block handles of Indian National Congress (INC) and its mass movement Bharat Jodo Yatra.”
Misleading News 6:
He shared a 10-second clip of Congress leader Rashid Alvi in which he can be heard saying that those who chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogans are not seers, but demons.
Fact Check
The team found that the viral video is a clipped version of the original one. Alvi, who was speaking at the Kalki Mahotsav in Uttar Pradesh, quoted an instance from the Ramayana to say that not everyone who chants ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogans is a seer. The full speech can be heard here:

Political Hate
He in his account tries his best to sabotage the image of other politicians and political parties, by making many trolls on them. He works on the propaganda of demeaning other parties in order to make the party he is supporting superior
Religious Hate
Not only political hate, his accounts entirely promote religious hate which help him set an agenda towards a particular section of the society and spread hatred.
