By sharing the picture a user named Vishal Yadav MLA captioned: Ben Stokes’ ancestors belonged to the Yaduvanshi family of Uttar Pradesh. Ben Stokes’ grandfather Roop Singh Yadav, was a worker of the Samajwadi Party and later settled in New Zealand. Ben Stokes’ name in New Zealand was “Banne Singh Yadav”.

In the article it is clearly mentioned that Ben Stokes (Benjamin Andrew Stokes) was born on 4 June 1991 in Christ Church, New Zealand, stokes moves to England as a child at the age of 12.
Afterward, the team searched about the history of Ben stokes family in which we get to know that Ben Stokes is the son of former rugby league player and coach Gerard Stokes known as ‘ Ged Stokes’, and an English Mother Deborah Stokes. He was raised in a devout Christain family.
