To analyze the viral video the team of DFRAC did a reverse image search on google and found an article from Catch news which was uploaded 8 months ago on April 20, 2022. The headline- “ Women weeps, begs as bulldozer turns her home to dust in Jahangirpuri; watch the heartbreaking video.”

On further searching regarding the video, the team found another article in India Today in which they stated- “ The North Delhi Municipal Corporation launched an anti-encroachment drive in Delhi Jahangirpuri on Wednesday. Bulldozers rolled into the area and began demolishing houses and shops.

After that, we found another article on India.com. The headline- Jahangirpuri Demolition: “SC orders stay on the drive, Issues notice to Delhi police, MCD; next hearing 2 weeks later.”

This article further states that this bulldozer,s destruction comes after communal clashes broke out in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri area during a Hanuman Jayanti that happened on 16 April 2022 on Saturday evening. The clash took place during the third cavalcade taken out on that day, which halted near a Mosque where Muslims were holding Ramadan Prayers.
On, Tuesday, Delhi BJP chief Adesh Gupta alleged that those accused of rioting in Jahangirpuri had built illegal constructions in the area and demanded that these be demolished.

It is clear from the verification of DFRAC that the viral video is 8 months old and the Indian government not just destroyed the illegal Muslim houses but also destroyed all illegal houses and shops of Hindus as well. Therefore, the claim made by social media users is Misleading.
