Fact Check:

To analyze the originality of the video the team of DFRAC did some specific keyword searches on google about Arvind Kejriwal’s interview regarding promises of cleaning the  Yamuna river. The team found an interview of Arvind Kejriwal with India today on the official Youtube channel of the Aam Aadmi Party. The headline- Live Arvind Kejriwal must watch an interview with India Today on GOA elections I Amit Palekar.

In 42 minutes and 40 seconds, it can be heard  by Arvind Kejriwal- “ I have spoken ten times in Delhi if I do not clean the Yamuna till 2025 Don’t vote for me next time.”

After that Executive editor of India today@PreetiChaudhary mentioned Arvind Kejriwal claiming a similar statement in 2015,

@ArvindKejriwal denied the statement saying – “I did not say it in the reference of Yamuna river”.

On further searching about  Arvind Kejriwal’s old interview regarding the  Yamuna river cleaning promise we found a 7-year- old video of Arvind Kejriwal Manifesto of 2015 on the official Youtube channel of  Aam Aadmi Party with the headline- “Aam Aadmi Party Releases its Delhi Manifesto”. In 27 minutes and 25 seconds, it can be heard by Arvind Kejriwal-“ Yamuna will be cleaned, Yamuna is a sacred river for us, Peak ponds will be built on both sides of Yamuna, etc.”
