A child was not hospitalized due to Muslim enmity in India? Turkey Urdu spread false news

A video is getting viral on social media sites regarding Turkish Urdu, an Urdu language news portal operating from Turkey, which ran news about India. It was claimed that Muslim children are not treated in hospitals by Indian Hindus in Muslim antagonism.

Turkish Urdu posted a video and caption: – Muslim hostility of Indian extremist Hindus, a Muslim child was not admitted to the hospital for treatment saying that he was a Muslim, the child died in his mother’s arms outside the hospital. This is secular India. ( English Translation)

Fact Check:

To analyze the viral video the team of DFRAC  searched Turkey Urdu’s claim and converted the video into a keyframe with the help of inVID tool. Also, reverse searched the keyframe. As a result, we found a screen grasp of the video in the Dainik Bhaskar report.

In this report, the truth of the video was found to be contrary to the claims of Turkish Urdu. The report said that the child was not admitted due to Muslim antagonism but due to a non-deposit of fifty thousand rupees. Due to which the child died due to lack of treatment.

The child’s father Md. Halim said- ‘The son was suffering from fever for 5 days. He was admitted to Aman Hospital in Mauaima. However, when he did not get rest, the doctors of Aman Hospital referred him. We then took the son to Prachi Hospital in Shantipuram. We were harassed there for two hours.

“We kept asking for admittance, but the staff said first deposit Rs 50,000, then we will admit,” Halim said. My wife and I kept pleading in front of the doctor to admit the son. We will arrange the money. However, the doctors did not listen and in the end, the child died.

Conclusion:

It is clear from the verification of DFRAC that the claim of Turkish Urdu is misleading.
