A video of Congress workers is becoming viral on social media. It can be seen in the video that some workers who holding the Congress flag are raising slogans of Narendra Modi Zindabad and Rahul Gandhi Murdabad. Users sharing this video are claiming that this video is from Bangalore during Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s India Jodo Yatra.

Sharing this video, a user claimed- “Rahul Gandhi’s #padayatra …. Slogans were raised in Bangalore: “… Narendra Modi Zindabad” { English Translation}

Another user wrote – ” @RahulGandhi you cannot do it. No matter how many people you collect by paying money, there is no one among them to vote. Listen from the mouths of # Congress workers in # India _ Jodi _ Yatra. #Narendra_Modi_Zindabad _ _ _ _ _ _ Didi has come to Congress today, not in Modi ji’s rally.” {English Translation}

At the same time, many other users are also sharing this video and claiming it to be a video of India Jodo Yatra.

Fact Check:

To fact-check the video going viral, DFRAC took the help of the InVid tool and changed it into different keyframes, and reverse searched it. We found this video was posted on 10 September 2018 from the official Twitter handle of the BJP.

This video is being told of the nationwide demonstration of Congress and opposition parties against inflation and unemployment. DFRAC team found that this video was uploaded on India TV’s YouTube channel on 12 September 2018. This video is said to be of Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh. According to the report, the Congress spokesperson had clarified that some Bharatiya Janata Party workers had entered the Congress rally and raised such slogans.

At the same time, in many other media reports, this sloganeering has been described as a slip of the tongue during anti-government slogans of Congress workers in Madhya Pradesh.

Conclusion:

From this FactCheck, it is that the viral video of raising slogans of Narendra Modi Zindabad by workers is 3 years old. It has nothing to do with Rahul Gandhi’s ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra. Hence, the claims of social media users are false.
