A picture is getting viral on social media in which Russian President Vladimir Putin can be seen watching the news of Pakistan’s ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Social media users are sharing this picture with utmost excitement and Boasting caption related to Imran Khan.
A user named @MechailBoriss writes, “Russian President Vladimir Putin is watching the news of the major breakthrough in Pakistan on July 17. He expressed his satisfaction over Imran Khan’s victory and described Imran Khan as a surprising personality.”
Many other users too shared the same picture under different captions.
A Facebook user writes, “Russian President Putin listening to the news of Imran Khan’s victory. (#copied)#byelection2022 #ImranKhan.”
Fact Check:
@MechailBoriss is an old fake account created by Pakistan that always tweets in favour of Imran Khan. We have earlier suspended his fake account.

but, now a new account is created by the same name which is following the same pattern.
We too noticed many Pakistani accounts have tweeted on this.
So to investigate the viral picture, we reverse searched the image on Google and found the same picture of Putin but on screen in front of him was, many people and it was seemingly an image from a video conference.
Then we also found a report on euronews.com the same image can be seen there, in which the caption under the picture states, “Russian President Vladimir Putin chairs a meeting with Italian businessmen via videoconference at the Novo-Ogaryovo residence outside Moscow, Russia, Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022.”
Conclusion:
Therefore, the image of Putin watching Imran khan news was in reality morphed as the actual image was of the video conference.
