Violent demonstrations are taking place in many states regarding the Agnipath scheme of the Government of India. Many trains and buses have been set ablaze in many states, while many places were vandalized. At the same time, the government has made many changes in the midst of increasing protests by the youth. The government earlier increased the age limit from 21 to 23. After this, the Ministry of Defense has also announced to give 10 percent reservation to Agniveers in the recruitments to be done under their ministry.

At the same time, many misconceptions have also spread on social media regarding the Agniveer scheme. The government is also spreading awareness about the scheme through various means. Awareness about the Agnipath scheme is also being spread by DD News. But his two tweets got into a lot of controversies. Social media users are claiming that both these tweets have been done from the official Twitter handle of DD News.

First tweet- It can be seen in this tweet that a boy named Divyam Srivastava is counting the benefits of Agniveer Yojana. Divyam is said to be a resident of Barabanki.

Second tweet- The person seen in this tweet has been described as Abhimanyu Verma, a resident of Jaunpur. The similarities between the two are such that the background and the things seen in the background of both are matching exactly.

On the other hand, Congress leader Rajesh Mishra wrote – “One young man is from Jaunpur and one from Barabanki and the special thing is that look at the background behind them which look exactly like each other! Just turn the camera while shooting! Now DDNews also deleted this tweet. Now you think how the government is misleading the whole country?

Fact Check:

We checked the official Twitter handle of ‘DD News’ to check the screenshot going viral. We could not find any such tweet. Then we checked the Twitter handle of journalist Swati Mishra on Twitter. She claimed that DD News has deleted both tweets. For this, she has also provided an archive link of the deleted tweets of DD News.
