Baba Bageshwar’s Sanatan Hindu Ekta Padayatra is taking place from Delhi to Mathura. In the meantime, a video was shared on social media claiming that in Mathura, a person was opposing Baba Bageshwar’s Padayatra, and people beat him severely. In this video, it can be seen that a youth in a car is being beaten by some people.
While sharing this video, a user wrote, “Tell the Sanatani warriors, wow wow 🤝, some anti-Sanatan people were opposing Bageshwar Dham’s Hindu Padayatra in Mathura …… then there was a fierce beating 🏏: the heart is happy”.
In addition, a user named Manoj Shrivastava shared the video and wrote, “Damodar Yadav was beaten. Heart became happy Sanatanis. This unity is needed. In this way, Congress Indians also deal with the traitors of the country, chase them on the roads and beat them”.
Fact Check:
The DFRAC team, while investigating the viral video, found that this video is not from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. This video is of an incident in Mathurapur town of Guraru block in Gaya district of Bihar. Upon closely watching the video, we found a board on the house in the background saying ‘Sarvottam Classes’. We also found a mobile number written on this board.

Our team called the number of Sarvottam Classes. They told us that this dispute was due to a collision on the road. Nothing like opposition to Baba Bageshwar was involved. They told us the location of this place is Mathurapur, Guraru block, Gaya district, Bihar.
After this, our team checked the location on Google Maps. We could see the house, on which RA Singh is written. This house can be seen on Google Maps by clicking here.
This house of RA Singh is the same house on which the board of Sarvottam Classes is installed. Although the board is not visible on Google Maps, another board and the name RA Singh can be seen on the house on Google Maps.

Conclusion
DFRAC’s fact check makes it clear that the social media claim that a youth was beaten for opposing Baba Bageshwar’s Sanatan Hindu Ekta Padayatra is misleading. The viral video is of an incident in Mathurapur of Guraru block in Gaya district of Bihar.
