“This Palestinian girl is saved by 3 different people from 3 different locations on 3 different days & all locations are 50 KM apart from each other.

A claim is going viral on social media about a girl being saved thrice in 3 different locations.

An X user named @TheSquind shared some images of a girl, claiming : “This Palestinian girl is saved by 3 different people from 3 different locations on 3 different days & all locations are 50 KM apart from each other. Wondering why she keeps travelling so far especially in the conflict zone?”

Fact Check

To know the truth of the viral images, DFRAC team reverse searched these images on Google We found two media reports revealing the reality of these images.

Media Reports Reveal

We found a report by BBC in which they stated, “Aya was confused with another child, pictured in the arms of three different people, but that was at a single rescue event where the pictures were taken moments apart. Journalists also tracked down witnesses, including Omran’s father, who confirmed they had been involved in real bombings”.

When we investigated further, we found a report by AFP. The report said, “The three photos were taken on the same day, August 27, 2016, in the Maadi district, near Bab al-Nairab , in Aleppo, by Ameer al-Halabi”.

Conclusion

Therefore, it is clear from the DFRAC’s fact-check that the claim related to viral images is misleading as this incident took place 7 years ago and the images of a girl are from the same event.
